The death of Anastase Gautreau of Pré-d’en-Haut, occured Sunday (21mars) at the George Dumont Hospital in Moncton. He was 89.
Born at Pré-d’en-Haut, he was a son of the late Anselme and Emélie (Bourque) Gautreau.
He is survived by his wife, the former Geneviève Bastarache; two sons, Léonard and Adrice, both of Gautreau Village; an adopted son, Edgar Cormier, Halifax; three sisters, Mrs. Paul Landry (Mélendée), Halifax; Mrs. Camille Melanson (Léonie), Norwich, Conn., Margaret Gautreau of Moncton; a brother, Camille, Moncton.
The body is resting at Dupuis funeral home in Memramcook. The funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Notre-Dame-de-L’Annonciation Church in Pré-d’en-Haut. Entombment will be in St. Joseph cemetery vault to await burial in the family plot in the parish cemetery in the spring.
